Triadzz

Recently I've been attracted to slow, easy, beautiful songs to start my week off to, but this week is different. Today I'm feeling in-your-face loud and proud, and that's what this song is. Blam Blam Blam, the sounds hit you hard and bright, the bass drum is huge. Hello beginning of the week, I've arrived. Enjoy!

Medicine

I fell in love with the sounds of Daughter late last year. Recently I've heard the magic that Sound Remedy has applied to the soft and delicate sounds that Daughter is responsible for. This isn't the proper forum for me to vent about how much crap has been made in the name of Dubstep, but this is the proper forum to declare that Sound Remedy is not part of the aforementioned. This ballad is a beautiful and emotionally expensive experience. Enjoy!

Leave The Lights On

I love the lyrics and melody of this track. Her voice is the perfect balance of cute, independent, and musical. There's an Ellie Goulding sound to this track, which I'm not sure whether to credit Bronze Whale's remix or Meiko's melody to. The song flows incredibly well, with those signature dubsteppy bass drum builds and breakdowns accompanying Meiko's acoustic guitar. Enjoy!

I Love Summer

Summer is the time for not caring. Forget work, school, chores, bills, and all other things that suck. Life and living seem to be more important when the weather is warm and girls are wearing less clothing. The themes that this song explores are my definitions of what summer should be. The Bronze Whale touch adds a great edge to the track, making this track a must bump for your top down ride down Boardwalk. Enjoy!

The Number One

What we've got here is a dab of dubstep, a hint of oldies, and a very familiar hook that give this track it's personality. I am normally not a fan of remixes using overly popular songs, however when something is done right, it is clearly done right.  From first listen I've had "one is the loneliest number" stuck in my head. Enjoy!

Shoot Me Down

I love the in-your-face that this song starts, continues, and ends with. C'mon do it, pull  your trigger finger, and shoot me down, I fucking dare you.  Just when I think this track is another dubstep track full of bass and wobble, the Warriors change things up mid way through, genius. Enjoy!

Hard To Smile

When the man has got you beat down, play this song to express your emo-ness. I love the Tupac sample in this track.  The music is soothing, driving, and hits true. In fact, my friend said he was going through some rough times at work, and this was his anthem. I sorta laugh about that thought every time I play this song. Enjoy!

All In

Dubstep can be a four letter word, especially when used to describe a remix of the hottest top 40 pop song. Although, simply because there's current saturation doesn't mean quality is non-existent. I'm really enjoying the lyrics, piano, and womp womp womp of this track. "All lights are green, if you know what I mean. Can you take it all in?" Enjoy!

Organic

There's something about a heavy bassline with elegant instrumentation to accompany it. This track feels like the gentile giant, shaking the earth with each step, yet emitting a message of serenity.  I especially enjoy the piano in this song, it's great song to drive to with the volume up. Enjoy!

Toxic

You know the song in a former life, but there's something about that voice -when did Britney develop an accent? It's Yael!
The track mixes images of a smoky underground jazz lounge and an urban machine gun gang war scene. I love hearing the attack of the percussion and the thud of the bass along Yael's silky and exotic voice.  It's a cover and a remix rolled into one. Enjoy!

Breathe Me

I love how two completely different elements meld together in this track.  Sia's beautiful and whispery voice and the soothing piano, are hit by a firestorm of electronic lasers, drums, and atomic bass bombs.  Somehow the dueling elements combine to create a great dubstep remix of what is a beautiful original track. I especially like the breakdown that occurs around the first minute mark, the quiet before the storm. Enjoy!

All of the Lights

The horns at the beginning of this song get me every time. I spent the mid 90's going to high school and buying hip hop albums. It wasn't until college that I discovered electronic music.  Chris Cab's Remix/Cover is a fun concoction of both.  With a hint of analog sounds as well as digital, a bit of hip hop, and bit of that dubstep-y sound this song pumps me up.

Dancing In The Dark

First of all, I love the saxophone on this track. This song has a heavy dubstep-like bassline, but it isn't as grimy and bass hungry as a more conventional 'dubstep' track.  So this makes it a good Monday song, I don't want to slam your face too early in the week. Enjoy!
