Bleed

Take me back to the late 90's when you'd find me in a forest, abandoned warehouse, or patch of desert 4hrs away with this track. The style from that era was hard and fun with that combination kick drum bass note holding the dance floor steady. The trumpet on this song sings high over all the other instruments, making it extremely recognizable. I can imagine the whistles and the hooting and hollering that would accompany a track like this at 4:30am deep into a great party. Enjoy!

Bionic

This DJ friendly tune is sure to rock the dance floors. The calculated startup, the energetic build, and the general aesthetic of this song are right on. If I were to put this song into a set, it wouldn't necessarily be the show stopper that gains all attention, but it'd sure be memorable. Enjoy!

Never Touch The Ground

I've got a desire for a Friday post anthem, and this satisfies that urge. Big builds, piano breakdowns, and an infectious chorus to sing along to make this a high energy weekend winner. "We never touch the ground! oh oh oh oh oh oh"!! I feel like there's a large demand for anthem tracks like this, and an even larger number of producers trying to capture that perfect anthem feeling.

Walls

In smaller doses I really appreciate these high energy main room anthems, and this is a pretty enjoyable one. Quilla sings some generic inspiring words in tune with tidal wave build ups and breakdowns. It would be a shame for dance floors around the world to miss out banging this track for a while. Enjoy!

Synrise

This song is nearly all build, and as an amateur DJ I see the value of this. The first two minutes build up to what I feel is a somewhat disappointing break. There are things I enjoy like the "oooh oohh ohhh", and the 1-2-1-2 cowbell on the eight, but the song loses the muster that it takes so long to build up.

I can see that break point as the opportune time to bring in the next track, and continue the energy that is so well created from the first two minutes. The song tapers out quickly, and makes me feel that this is what it was created for. Enjoy!

Nothing Inside

I've been jamming to both of these songs lately, and they are both so different that I couldn't choose one over the other to blog.  The club mix has an epic build, and I can't get enough of her voice over the piano, quickly followed by strings, and then BAM!
The Adam F mix has a completely different element, with the sped up bridge right at the beginning of the song, giving in a far more aggressive and dark feel. This one comes at you with a breakbeat style (the kick drum on every other 4-count vs. the kick drum on every 4-count) and really gives a dramatic difference. Enjoy!

Titanium

From the first note this song starts to build up, at the 1min mark I think things start getting underway.  However it's the quiet before the storm. Shortly after I've got the urge to scream "I am Titaaaaaanniiiiiuuummm"!! I like the composition of the track, but to me the standout is the lyrics. Enjoy!

Cobra

Most people know a good anthem when it slaps them across the face and pushes them onto the dance floor.  This anthem is no different. The ups are up, and the breakdowns literally stop. I am especially a fan of the electrifying synthesized organ. Enjoy!

Trafalgar

Something about this song makes it stand out to me, though I haven't quite put my finger on what exactly.  If I were to describe the track to you, it would come off as rather generic.  I understand that being unique is hardly the qualifier of a good song, sometimes sticking to the formula returns great results. Trafalgar is great results. It's a high energy journey with aesthetically pleasing sounds building and breaking. I enjoy the vocal sample at the end, it's just snuck in there you'd never know it existed. Enjoy!
